What is your warranty & return policy?

Please refer to our Satisfaction Guarantee and our Returns pages for policy information.

Are your products 100% made in the USA?

Yes, it is. Design, manufacturing, packaging, and fulfillment are done in Utah. Our primary wood for construction is raw Baltic birch, which we source from the Baltic region of Europe.

Can I sit on the chairs and stools as an adult?

Please note that the weight capacities of our products vary; our chairs and stools are officially rated for up to 150 lbs. Use your own judgment! Both the chairs and stools work for adults, but stools are usually more convenient because they don’t have a back.

What do I do if my Sprout table wobbles?

First, try the table on another surface; it may just be the floor that's uneven.

The Sprout table is designed to compensate for a certain amount of unevenness. To fix any unevenness, place the table where you want it, identify the high legs, place your hands on the table top above the high legs and push down with a hard, sharp push. This will even out the legs.

What if a part breaks?

We offer free replacement parts for manufacturing defects/parts damaged during shipping and reported during our 5 year warranty period. If you received an order with damaged parts or parts were damaged during assembly, send pictures of the damaged parts with your order number to support@sprout-kids.com. We’ll make sure we get you new parts right away! If you are past the 5 year warranty period, don't worry, there's just a small fee for new parts and shipping. For additional information on our Warranty, check out our satisfaction guarantee.

Can I use Sprout products outside?

Using our products outside will void your warranty, as we do not recommend or guarantee our products for outdoor use unless otherwise stated for the specific product.

What happens if my Sprout products get wet?

Incidental contact is no issue! As a test, we left one of our tables under a sprinkler overnight. The next morning the table had minimal swelling and most of the swelling left after drying. However, we don’t recommend watering your Sprout products! After use, we recommend wiping your table dry.

How should I clean my Sprout furniture?

You should wipe your Sprout furniture clean with a damp cloth and wipe dry. For more information, see our care and cleaning page.

How sturdy are the joints?

We once assembled and disassembled one of our chairs 100 times and we didn’t see any issues. If you have concerns with your furniture’s joints please contact us.

How should I clean any unfinished edges?

You can use a little bit of sandpaper to remove the outer layer and discoloration.

What materials do you use?

We use Baltic birch plywood as well as solid wood like red oak and maple. Our Baltic birch plywood has more layers than traditional plywood, which makes it stronger and more durable. Our red oak is sustainably sourced from forests in North America. For more information about the materials we use, see our Materials page here.

What is this mark on my product?

During the birch plywood manufacturing process, when knots are present in the wood, or when a natural knot has fallen out or is expected to crumble, they are filled in with patches. The patches create a uniform strength in the plywood, rather than having holes or gaps. We choose to use plywood with patches for our products to further our goals of being eco-friendly, reducing waste and keeping costs down.

What is a value-grade product?

Value-Grade products have pieces made with parts that don't usually meet our aesthetic standards but are perfectly functional and structurally sound. You can learn more about what constitutes a value-grade item here.

Are your products CARB Compliant?

We want our products to be as safe as possible for children. The Baltic Birch that we source is TSCA Title VI compliant. TSCA Title VI is from The Environmental Protection Agency (epa) and establishes formaldehyde emission standards, identical to the California Air Resources Board (CARB) which regulates the emissions of some chemicals in composite wood products such as Baltic Birch. Current regulations require emissions of formaldehyde in hardwood plywoods to be less than 0.05 parts per million (less than 0.000005%). All Baltic Birch used in Sprout products complies with or exceeds these standards.

Do Sprout product contain formaldehyde?
