The Dish Washing Stations and Sensory Tables are designed to promote learning through exploration and repetition in the classroom and at home. Engaging in Practical Life activities like washing dishes can empower children to actively participate in their community, which fosters a sense of purpose and motivation.

You can customize these stations to meet your needs from two different height options and the choice between plastic tubs or metal bowls for cleaning and rinsing to best fit your needs. Our unique design also features a shelf, bar, and hooks for wet or dry towels.

    For hand washing, the hand washing station is another option. 

    Features

    • The bottom shelf is made of slats that will hold wet materials without damaging the shelf.
    • Dowel rod for hanging/drying cloth.
    • Each plastic tub can hold up to 3 gallons and each metal bowl can hold up to 2.5 gallons, although we recommend that the caregiver determine the amount that is right for each child and their environment.

    For the Bowl Variant of the Washing Stations, a Stainless Steel Bowl is used. The dimensions of this item are 13" wide, 2.5-gallon 8 Qt. Heavyweight Stainless

    What is the total maximum weight capacity for the Washing stations?

    Each configuration of the washing station can hold up to 150 lbs.

    The item was not sealed as we thought it would be. This item will need further sealing if you plan on using it for water. The top of the station also did not fit properly when we received it. We had to glue it in place.

    We're sorry to hear that your experience with our Dish Washing/Sensory Stations wasn't as expected. The edges of the station are sealed twice with a Greenguard-certified, water-based finish to offer protection from water, though it does not make the station completely waterproof. Fully waterproof finishes/varnishes tend to have higher VOCs and we intentionally chose this tradeoff as this sealing method has supported washing stations that have been in classrooms for years.

    Washing Station/Sensory Play

    I love this table! It works so well for us as a washing station but we also have gotten use as a sensory table. So well made! No issues when we get it wet. We just wipe it up and it's as good as new!

    It is a wonderful table. I wish it were "finished" to protect the wood from water.

    LOVE!!

    Our dishwashing station is the highlight of our classroom! It is used all day every day, incredibly functional AND aesthetically beautiful. I love the hooks, dowels, and shelf space that we use for dishwashing materials, including aprons, a large pitcher, dish soap and scrub brushes, space for a spill bucket, clean towels, dirty laundry, and enough counter space for a drying rack and other things children use to wash dishes. This will always be my favorite set that I will recommend forever!
