Help your child develop through climbing!
The Climbing Triangle is a simple resource that helps children develop their gross motor skills, helping them feel comfortable in who they are and their natural abilities to grow into their body space on their own terms.
A triangle in your home can give your child enhanced gross motor development, increased spatial awareness, vestibular stimulation (for learning about balance), strengthening limbs, proprioceptive learning (physical self-awareness), providing open-ended play and more!

I couldn't be more pleased with the purchase. The assembly instructions were easy to follow and the wood was perfectly cut and easy to assemble. You might want some help with the first set of rungs, just because it can be tricky to get them aligned. My daughter is just now getting to play with it and is already standing up by grabbing the rungs. More to come I'm sure. The triangle looks great and the wood is sanded softly, while still allowing for little toes and hands to grip it. I love the ramp and how it connects to the ladder too.
I bought this for my 1 year old niece, with the thought that she will learn to use it in all sorts of fun ways before she grows out of it. So far, she has used the ramp to make loud noises and has climbed up the first triangle rung. My sister sends notes when she does something new. It is perfectly crafted and set up easily. It also stores away nicely when they need more room.
We purchased the triangle and single ramp and love it. It shipped quickly and was a snap to put together. The product itself is sturdy, designed well and the materials are quality. My 11-month-old is interested in it and will occasionally climb to the second rail, but he’s not quite ready to monkey climb yet. Can’t wait for him to really start exploring it.
Purchased this during height of Covid as something for my child to do inside! She loves it and continues to get great use out of it, even at 6 years old! My son is now 2 years old and I just love watching the learning process a second time. I absolutely love the standing feature when not in use! Super easy to set up.
Here in Oregon, we need fun indoor play options when it’s raining outside. We bought this (and the slide) for our baby’s first birthday. He warmed up to it slowly. Usually just goes up and down, not over. Right around his 14 month, he learned how to safely swing his little leg over so that he can go down the other side. He also likes to say UP UP UP while he climbs. It’s adorable. He likes to crawl thru it and have us chase him. He likes to have a blanket thrown over it to create a tent. We love this. It’s beautiful. Easily folds up. But we leave it out 24/7 for inspired play.

My grandson loves the climbing triangle and thanks to Andrew from Sprouts it arrived on time for his June 22nd birthday.
I went back and forth on whether or not to buy this. I thought the kids would get tired of it. More than a year and they have not tired of it! It’s also really sturdy. I saw a lot of piklers that were being sold on Amazon and other large companies like Walmart, but I was concerned about the durability. I was stuck between this brand and the one sold by “lily and river” . I was told the lily and river one is actually a bit smaller. I went with this one and we loooveee it!
Love this so much, it’s high quality in craftsmanship and in play opportunities!
We are so excited about our climbing triangle! We wondered if it was too late since we were well beyond the toddler years, but our constantly climbing preschooler loves it! It gave our fearless 5 year old the freedom to explore climbing, hanging, jumping, and swinging in a safe way. It’s big enough to still be fun (by herself or with a friend), but not so big that it overcrowds our limited space. We are loving the way it locks in place for easy setup, storage, and how it’s freestanding when closed. We got the add-on ramp for more open ended ways to play and are thrilled our girl independently uses both sides (ladder and slide) in so many creative ways!
This item was exactly as described and very well made, no question. The functionality of the ladder and the slide did not make sense to us. My toddler naturally wanted to use this like a slide at the playground which it is not meant for. This caused nothing but frustration. We returned against a steep shipping fee of about $65. Great for some but not what we were looking for.
Hi there! The ramp is intended to be open-ended and the smooth side can be used like a slide at the playground! When it is on the tallest rung it can be steep and a harder landing, so if you want it on the top rung a pillow can help with that!
I remember the first time val stepped on the climbing triangle, she climbed to the first bar and noticed that she was able to see further out the window then she tried to step on the second bar, she stood there for a long time and enjoyed exploring the view outside the window. It was amazing watching her progression of using the wooden climbing triangle. With Montessori practice at home, we tried to stick to our daily routines. I notice how important it is after coming back from vacation. We truly enjoyed outdoor activities after breakfast. Especially during the summer it gets hot in the afternoon, by having this we are able to keep up her gross motor play right at home after nap time. Or tire her out after dinner time if we end up doing other activities Lately she has been super active, with crawling under the triangle and balancing on top of the ramp or using it as a slide. She has plenty fun and this is all that matters to me.
I really wanted a climbing triangle but was nervous to buy a second hand one originally made by someone that somebody’s neighbor found on Pinterest… I really trust in Sprout’s R&D process and manufacturing standards. So glad to have a sturdy climber that folds up and stands on its own without being too tippy. Great to have in the house so my cautious kiddo could get used to it and try it a lot. He now climbs over it like a champ. Great tunnel and cave and blanket fort base as well.
I bought it for my daughter's 1 birthday. She really enjoys playing with it, she is still discovering. Children from 3 to 4 years also have fun! We are so pleased with this climber specially now that we are having raining days!!!
We purchased this climber for my one year old but my six year old loves it as well. They both climb on (and over) it often. They use it for forts and race cars and so many more activities. A great addition to our home. Assembly was easier than expected and was able to be done by 1 person.
It's great. Our somewhat physically timid one year old took to it immediately! So glad we got it. Good to watch the youtube video. Building it was a little tough but doable. Also its pretty heavy to move and fairly large. Not something I want to take down and put up regularly.
It's been amazing, and our son has been very interested in it. He loves to use it to pull up, and as a tent. It was easy to put together, and my favorite part is that it folds when we're not using it. I'm so excited to see how he continues to use it.
We bought this as our daughters 1st birthday present and we are so glad we did. It’s easy to assemble, super sturdy, and quality material. She has loved it! I recommend it to all my friends :)
Purchased this climbing triangle with ramp for my 13mo Grandson. The waiting is the hardest part of any Sprouts purchase we have found. Once your item arrives it takes no time at all to get set up and enjoying your Sprouts! Dad had this climbing triangle assembled in less than thirty-minutes! For a little guy who is ready to start climbing but is sometimes kept inside on rainy days - this has already paid for itself. Last night they used a starry-sky print silk to make a fort out of the triangle- so much fun! highly recommend!
Too difficult to assemble with one person. Working on it for multiple days and still not able to get it together. Assembly video misleading. Have twice tried to reach for help and no one answers or calls back.
Part was even chipped and not completely sanded.
We love our climbing triangle! The “assembled” option was a lifesaver! It’s beautiful and sturdy and our 16 month old loves it already. Thank you so much!
This is the type of play equipment that I feel goes well beyond the concept of just 'play'. It helps the child, and even adults, develop balance, climbing skills and eye-hand coordination and dexterity. Being able to master the transition from going up a step platform to descending is a milestone for many. I'd love to have one of these for each of my grandchildren. Bright colors add to the structure. Being foldable just adds to the structure.
Our daughter is 2.5 this month. Is she too old to invest in this triangle with ramp/slide? Thinking especially of the winter months ahead, but want it to be fun for her for several years still.
Your daughter is definitely not too old! At 2.5, she’s actually at a wonderful age for a climbing triangle with a ramp. At this stage, children are developing strength, coordination, and confidence, and this kind of play equipment really supports all of that. As you mentioned, this is particularly helpful for burning off energy in the winter months!
Hi! Does this climbing triangle fold? If so what is the mechanism? Do you have to remove a screw for it to fold in half?
Hi Molly,
Thank you so much for your question! The climbing Triangle can be folded inward. It utilizes a unique internal mechanism that allows for it to be collapsed without the need of any additional tools for quick and easy storage.
